How it works

How to convert GLB to STL

  1. 1

    Add a GLB or glTF

Drop a .glb, or a .gltf with its data embedded. Draco-compressed files work too.

  2. 2

    Set the print size

glTF is measured in meters, so check the size on the plate and resize the longest side if needed.

  3. 3

    Download the STL

Get a binary STL standing upright, ready for supports and slicing.

Features

Why use this GLB to STL converter

Built for GLB models made for screens, from AI generators to game engines.

Private, in your browser

Your .glb is converted on your own computer and never uploaded.

One STL or one per mesh

Keep the whole scene in one STL, or download a ZIP with a separate STL for each mesh.

Size shown before you download

The model sits on a build plate with its width, depth and height in millimeters or inches, plus its triangle count.

Batch convert

Add several GLB files at once and download all the STLs together in one ZIP.

Format comparison

What changes when GLB becomes STL

GLB is built for screens: it carries textures, lighting materials and animation. A printer only needs the surface.

Kept

  • Every mesh in the scene, with its position
  • Real size, converted from meters to millimeters
  • Up direction, turned from Y-up to Z-up
  • Draco and meshopt compressed geometry

Left behind

  • Textures, base colors and PBR materials
  • Animations, bones and morph targets
  • Cameras and lights
  • Vertex colors
FAQ

GLB to STL questions

Answers about AI models, size, textures, .gltf files and cost.

Can I 3D print a GLB from an AI 3D generator?
Yes. Convert it here, then check it in your slicer. AI models can have thin parts or small holes, so the GLB viewer's watertight check is worth a look first.
Why is my converted model so large?
glTF stores sizes in meters, and the converter writes millimeters. A model authored at 1.8 units becomes 1800 mm. Turn on Resize longest side to print it at the size you want.
Does the STL keep my textures?
No. STL has no color or texture support. To print in color, paint the model in Bambu Studio or PrusaSlicer, or keep the GLB for screens.
My .gltf file will not open. Why?
Some .gltf files keep their geometry in separate .bin and image files. Export the model as a single .glb, which bundles everything, and convert that.
Is the GLB to STL converter free?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no sign-up and no limit, and your model is never uploaded.
